Game Log 3: Imagine
Expert counsel:
Genereally speaking, we felt validated in our approach and ideas. The main feedback we will try to incorporate going forward, is to ham up the horror-aspects and to start with the beginning and end, when creating the game.
Rapid mockup:
We did rapid mockups on how to exemplify game mechanics in our interactive prototype. We settled on an analogue version of the game, relying heavily on wizard-of-oz type interactions.
Playtest:
We playtest our interactive prototype, with our focus being primarily on the feelings of the player and their interpretation of the neighbor.
We started by conducting a playtest on ourselves, to ensure our prototype was even playable. After a few minor tweaks and redistribution of Oz-tasks, we conducted two seperate playtests on the provided playtesters. Our setup was as seen below:
We followed the framework described above and the playtests yielded the following results, which we deducted based on our observations and insuing discussions with the playtesters. We have also included how we intend to remedy these issues going forward:
