Game Log 2: Play
We listed our general ideas, grouped them and tried to form a paragraph that encapsulates each group. We focused on honing in on game mechanincs, game aesthetics and the values we want to work with.
We base our cultural heritage in two installation works on ARoS.
We base much of our aesthetics on "milkrun III", by James Turrell and the general concept of the game is inspired by Pipilotti Rist's "Daggrys-timer i naboens hus" - We intend to the explore the idea of "the neighbor" as a character that cultivates "othering" and dehumanization through ignorance and unmet expectations.
We intend to do this through a top-down, psychological thriller/horror, point and click game focusing on creating an uncomfortable, unsafe and ambigious atmosphere.
